CoverAware terms of use

What CoverAware does
CoverAware helps you upload, organise, summarise and understand insurance documents. It can extract key facts, track renewal or cancellation dates, surface possible issues and answer questions using your uploaded documents. You may use it for your own cover and, where you have permission or another lawful basis, for household members, family members or other people you support.
Not regulated advice
CoverAware explains and organises. It does not act as an insurer, insurance broker, legal adviser, financial adviser or claims handler. It does not tell you what to buy, cancel, switch or claim. Important decisions should be checked with your insurer, broker or qualified adviser.
AI limitations
AI-generated summaries, extracted fields, quality checks and answers may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. The original policy document and insurer wording remain the source of truth. You are responsible for checking important dates, cover limits, exclusions, insured people and claim conditions before acting.
CoverAware may produce similar answers or summaries for different users with similar policies. It does not guarantee that every clause, exclusion, renewal rule or local-law nuance has been captured.
Privacy, consent and sensitive documents
Insurance documents may contain sensitive data, including health, family, children, financial or household information. You must review and accept the privacy notice and provide the required consent before CoverAware processes sensitive insurance documents.
The privacy notice explains the controller, data categories, purposes, service providers, AI processing, retention, rights and support contact details. It also links to the public privacy, DPA, security or subprocessor pages of the main providers used to run CoverAware.
Service providers
CoverAware relies on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, storage, email, AI processing, deployment and background jobs. These providers may process account data, document content, logs or metadata as needed to provide their services to CoverAware.
We choose providers with published privacy, data processing, security or subprocessor materials and use them for the limited purposes described in the privacy notice. Provider terms may change over time, so the public links in the privacy notice are the best current references.
Your responsibilities
- Use CoverAware only if you are at least 18 years old.
- Upload only documents you are allowed to provide.
- Do not upload documents for other people unless you have permission or another lawful basis, including for children, household members, family members, friends or community members you support.
- Check extracted dates and summaries before relying on them.
- Keep your account secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Do not misuse the service, attempt to access another user’s data, reverse engineer the service, overload the system, bypass security controls, or use CoverAware to process unlawful, harmful or abusive content.
Email upload
If you forward documents by email, the message and attachments pass through email infrastructure before CoverAware processes them. CoverAware accepts inbound documents only when the sender maps to an existing account with the required sensitive-data consent. If consent is missing, the documents are rejected and the sender is asked to complete consent first.
Availability and changes
CoverAware is being actively developed. Features may change, break or be withdrawn. We will try to keep your documents and data safe, but the service should not be your only record of insurance obligations or deadlines.
We may update these terms and the privacy notice as the product, legal entity, providers or launch scope changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page or in the product.
Deletion
You can delete uploaded documents from the product where available. You can also request account or data deletion. Some limited traces may remain temporarily in backups, provider logs, security logs or records needed for support, security, legal and compliance purposes.
